Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Roadmap Adds Solid Snake Operator
Ubisoft took the opportunity at the end of Six Invitational 2026 to unveil the Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 roadmap. The roadmap highlights all the changes coming in the next 12 months.
Season 1, which introduces Metal Gear Solid’s Solid Snake as an operator, begins March 3. The updates culminate in season 4, which concentrates primarily on remastering existing content.
Season 1 – Solid Snake
Season 1 kicks off the new year of updates on March 3. It includes modernised, updated versions of three maps – Consulate, Oregon, and Villa.
Otherwise, it is basically a collaboration with Konami’s Metal Gear Solid. Solid Snake joins the roster of playable characters and brings the F2 and PMR90A2 primary weapons, a Tacit. 45 secondary, and the Soliton Radar MKIII gadget. His passive allows him to pick up five secondary gadgets from downed players. Operation Silent Hunt is a 4v4 Metal Gear Solid-based game mode.
Season 2 – Ranked 3.0
Attacking operator Dokkaebi gets an update during season 2. She is one of several operators to gain access to a new primary weapon. Her new gadget will target chosen individual players, rather than blanketing every opponent.
Siege remains a very popular competitive eSports title, and it will feature in the EWC 2026. Ranked 3.0 sees player skill matchmaking, and the Champion ranking will have five divisions. Ubisoft is adding an eSports tab, which includes major team updates and tier-1 player stats.
Consoles are getting keyboard and mouse support, while rotating operator trials allow players to test operators they don’t currently own. The Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 roadmap introduces the Calypso Casino map, and Ubisoft is updating three other maps.
Season 3 – Legend Division Playlist
The launch of season 3 will introduce FIREWORKS, another new operator who can seemingly pierce enemy shields.
Champion-level players will be able to participate in a solo queue playlist. Top MMR players will receive charms to show off their exploits, and 3v3 Arcade and Drone Racing events will be added to the game.
Season 4 – Remastering
In terms of new content, season 4 will add a new weapon and secondary gadget, and a new social hub.
Otherwise, the final season is all about improvements and upgrades. Three more maps will be modernised, Testing Grounds gets a new feature, and the Hostage game mode will be made more competitive.
Rainbow Six Siege Popularity
Rainbow Six Siege might be ten years old, but it remains massively popular, attracting tens of millions of players every month. Siege X, which launched last year, included a huge engine overhaul, which has seen the game enjoy a serious resurgence in the past 12 months.
