Krafton Announces New PUBG Fantasy League To Debut At PNC 2026

PUBG: Battlegrounds developer, Krafton, has announced a new PUBG Fantasy league, which will debut at the PUBG Nations Cup 2026. Players will be able to manage fantasy rosters, built from four competing real-world teams, throughout the tournament. The devs have promised that “analysis and strategy win over luck”. Victorious participants will claim G-Coins, PUBG’s in-game currency.

Krafton published its PUBG 2026 roadmap this week. It included the usual array of new and updated content, including new PAYDAY heist and Xeno Point roguelite game types.

The New PUBG Fantasy League

The release also introduced PUBG Fantasy, saying: “Until now, Esports meant cheering for your favorites, watching matches, and predicting the winner. PUBG Fantasy takes it further.

“As an active participant, you can now pick teams, build strategy, and manage your roster throughout the tournament.”

Specific details have yet to be released, but Krafton said participants will build rosters consisting of players from four teams. Rosters earn points according to game results during tournaments to sit atop the fantasy leaderboard. Prizes will be awarded in G-Coins, the title’s in-game currency introduced back in 2018.

Competition From Twire

Fantasy leagues are nothing new. They’ve been popular in physical sports since the mid-20th century. As esports has grown in popularity, fantasy esports leagues have emerged. PUBG already has a popular competition, Twire Fantasy.

Twire Fantasy was established in 2019, but was bought by MindMap in 2025. The free-to-play tournament offers Twire Point prizes while also maintaining and offering extensive player and game databases. Although both competitions are free to play, Twire may lose participants to the official Krafton game.

The new fantasy competition is slated for launch at the PUBG Nations Cup. The 2026 competition starts on November 3. Players representing their countries compete for a share of a massive $1.32m prize pool.
