Compete For A Share Of €100,000 In VALORANT Project Blender

Riot Games and tournament organisers GOZULTING have announced the return of Project Blender. The tournament enjoyed its first year, last year, although its format was changed due to administrative problems.

The VALORANT competition is open to any eligible game players, both professional and amateur, and has a €100,000 prize pool, increased from the €65,000 in 2025. Teams can win prizes for their final positions, as well as bounties for beating higher-ranked teams.

More LAN

The competition includes three phases, with the final two being LAN events in Paris. This differs from last year’s inaugural event. Project Blender 2025 was set to have a LAN final, but the organisers failed to organise visas for players, leading to the final phase taking place online.

GOZULTING hopes that having two LAN phases in this year’s event, as well as a bigger prize pool, will make up for this.

Project Blender Phases

Project Blender will have three phases.

• The first phase is an Open Qualifier. Up to 256 teams will compete in an online competition on October 3 and 4. Two teams qualify for phase two.
• In phase two, 6 invited teams enter the competition, giving 8 teams. The phase will be played at Paris Games Week between October 21 and 24.
• The top two teams will progress to the playoffs phase, where six more invited teams will join. This phase will be played between December 18 and 20.

While the competition is open to professional players and rosters, it does overlap VALORANT Champions 2026, in Shanghai, and there are likely to be other major competitions taking place during the later stages.

Unique Tournament Format

Invited teams were picked from the VRC and other official tournaments last time around.

The competition will use the Blender Draft System. In this system, team A chooses the agents it will use on a particular map but will not be able to use those agents on future maps. Team B will not be able to use chosen agents on the next map.
