This Year’s EWC Club Championship Has $30m Prize Pool
$30m of this year’s $75m Esports World Cup prize money will be shared between the top 24-ranked teams across all games, with the leading club walking home with $7m. Points are awarded to teams that place top 8 in events. Team Falcons have won the Club Championships at the 2 other World Cups and will be hoping their extensive roster sees them defend their title once again.
Prize Money
Last year, $27m was handed out in Club Championship prize money. This year’s pot has increased by $3m. First place will still grab $7m, and there are still prizes for the top 24 teams. But some lower prizes have been increased.
Points And Prize Eligibility
To be eligible for a prize, teams must place top 8 in at least 2 competitions. To claim the top prize, a team must have won at least 1 competition.

- 2nd – 750 points
- 3rd – 500 points
- 4th – 300 points
- 3rd/4th – 500 points
- 5th – 200 points

- 5th-8th – 200 points
Another Falcons Win?
The Championship’s format favours mass participation, not necessarily elite results. Last year’s winners Team Falcons, for example, only won a single event, Overwatch 2, but they amassed 5,200 points thanks to having rosters in all but 3 events. Team Liquid, who finished 2nd, actually won three events, but competed in 9 fewer competitions, leaving them a real hill to climb.
Falcons also won the Club Championship in 2024. That year, though, they won 2 events, the same as eventual third-placed finishers, Team BDS. But, they ended up with more than double the points of second-placed Team Liquid.
Once again, Team Falcons look to have the busiest team build, putting them in pole position to take a third successive title.
